The WEEE directive came into law in the UK in February 2003. It sets collection, recycling and recover targets for all types of electrical goods.
Revive IT Recycling Ltd provides WEEE Recycling services all across the UK. We collect from Edinburgh, Glasgow, Devon, London, Peterborough, Cambridge, Leeds, Bradford, Hull, Wakefield, Manchester, Liverpool, Stockport, Birmingham, Bristol, Worchester etc. If you are unsure whether Revive IT can get to you, just get in touch. The WEEE collection and recycling service includes the collection of IT Equipment, WEEE, PCs, Computers, Monitors, Laptops, Printers, Servers, Accessories/cables etc. Unfortunately we can’t collect anything non-IT related as we are an IT company.
Revive IT provide a FREE collection service. Everything that is collected either gets refurbished for reuse or gets broken down for materials recycling. This all takes place at our site in Leeds. We have been granted many licenses by the environment agency including T11, S2, Waste carriers and brokers license. We have also gained other standards including ISO9001 and IS01400 and CHAS. These all make sure we live up to the standards our customers request.
A recent example of a WEEE collection was:
A large tools manufacturing company based in Sheffield got in touch saying they regularly produce a few pallets of WEEE Computer IT Waste. It had built up so they had about 8 pallets already built up which was all stored outside open to the weather. As this WEEE was wet, it wasn’t possible to refurbish it so we had to charge a small sum of £200 to make the WEEE recycling service viable.
Revive IT Recycling Ltd provided its WEEE Recycling service by organising a date / time, and bringing a 7.5tonne vehicle, which had a tail lift. A pallet truck was also attached to the back. Revive Its trained staff loaded all 8 pallets within 30minutes. We provided the WEEE Recycling waste transfer note along with a hazardous waste transfer note for hazardous items such as laptops, monitors and UPSs. Revive IT were also able to take non-IT related WEEE for a small charge.
